Amit Shah Announces
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Monday that if the BJP secures victory in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly election, it will establish a committee to identify and expel “infiltrators” from the state. Speaking at a rally in Seraikela, Shah said that the BJP government plans to enact legislation aimed at preventing land transfers to “infiltrators” who marry tribal women as a means of gaining land ownership.
Amit Shah Announces reiterated the BJP’s stance that “infiltrators” marry tribal women with the intent of acquiring land, which he claims has contributed to a decline in Jharkhand’s tribal population. To address this, the BJP government aims to return any “usurped” land to the state’s tribal communities, prioritizing the protection of tribal rights and heritage.
“Tribal population is declining in Jharkhand. Infiltrators are grabbing land by marrying our daughters. We will bring legislation to prevent the transfer of land to infiltrators if they marry tribal women,” Shah declared. He further emphasized the formation of a committee that would identify these individuals and recover land that has been “illegally” obtained.
Additionally, Amit Shah Announces referenced former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who had raised concerns over infiltration in the state. Soren, previously a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), resigned from office earlier this year after Hemant Soren was released on bail. He has since joined the BJP, aligning with the party’s position on safeguarding tribal rights against alleged infiltration.
