CM Revanth and Rahul gandhi
In the midst of internal party strife, Rahul Gandhi’s recent trip to Hyderabad and meetings with Congress leaders show a growing divide between the Congress high command and Telangana chief minister A CM Revanth.
Hyderabad: Has the growing distance between CM Revanth and the Congress high command been sufficiently demonstrated by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Hyderabad on Tuesday? Well, it seems so based on the recent meetings.
During his October 26 visit to New Delhi, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud met Rahul Gandhi and AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge. According to party insiders, the president of the TPCC briefed them on the caste census and talked about a few party-related topics. The party is adamant that Rahul Gandhi was invited by the TPCC president to take part in the state-level caste census discussions. Rahul Gandhi therefore came to Hyderabad on Tuesday for a two-hour visit and went to the event.
Prior to this, on October 25, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met with AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal to discuss the caste census program’s progress.
As you may remember, the Chief Minister had visited New Delhi on several occasions recently but was unable to meet with any of the Gandhis. The AICC head was met by the head Minister and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on August 16 when he was in New Delhi. He personally invited Kharge to attend the August 20 statue launching event for former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi outside the Secretariat. Kharge did not, however, attend the program, nor did any of the Gandhi relatives.
Similar to this, the CM Revanth said a public meeting would be held in Warangal to commemorate the commencement of the crop loan waiver program on July 18 while speaking with farmers via video conference. Additionally, he promised Rahul Gandhi an invitation to the public meeting, so on July 22, he took a plane to New Delhi.
In this party, there was a lot of talk that Rahul Gandhi would be invited to the planned public meeting in Warangal by the chief minister. To the dismay of the cadre, Rahul Gandhi’s readiness was not made clear by the lack of organization of the public meeting.
All of these incidents provide insight into the current situation between the CM Revanth and the high command, especially the rumors circulating within the party about his actions with HYDRAA, the Musi project, and the contentious demolitions that swayed public opinion against the Congress government.
