Commercial LPG Price Rises
Oil companies have raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, with a 19 kg cylinder in Delhi now costing Rs 1,802—an increase of Rs 62. The price hike also affects smaller 5 kg FTL cylinders, marking a rise in operational costs for businesses reliant on LPG, such as restaurants, hotels, and small businesses. These price adjustments are already in effect, potentially impacting the budgets of commercial establishments across various sectors.
While commercial LPG prices have surged, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged, providing some relief to households facing inflationary pressures. This stability in domestic gas prices ensures that household budgets are not directly affected, as businesses grapple with the rising costs.
This increase follows an earlier hike on October 1, when 19 kg commercial cylinders saw a Rs 48.50 rise, and 5 kg cylinders increased by Rs 12. Oil companies have cited changing global market conditions as a key factor behind the adjustments. For businesses that rely heavily on LPG, the cumulative effect of these price hikes may lead to higher costs, potentially affecting pricing structures in sectors such as hospitality and food service.
