Originally, the Prime Minister was scheduled to flag off the trains from Tatanagar, but his helicopter was unable to take off due to poor visibility and unfavorable weather conditions.

The newly launched Vande Bharat trains will operate on the following routes: Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah, and Gaya-Howrah.
