PWD Offers 6 Flag Staff Road Bungalow to Delhi CM Atishi Amid Political Dispute
Amid the ongoing political row surrounding the Chief Minister’s residence, the Delhi government’s Public Works Department (PWD) has extended an official offer for the 6flag staff Road Bungalow to Delhi CM Atishi, also known as the CM House, to Chief Minister Atishi.
In an offer letter dated October 11, the PWD requested that the Chief Minister submit the necessary documents within eight days. The letter stated, “The Director of Allotment, PWD, GNCTD is pleased to offer the under-mentioned PWD General Pool Bungalow to Atishi, Chief Minister, GNCTD, in accordance with the provisions of the Delhi Administration Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool) Rules, 1977.”
Within eight days of receiving the offer, Atishi must accept the allotment and turn in the relevant paperwork, which includes authenticated family photos. After that, she will receive a permission slip allowing her to acquire ownership of the items.
In addition, Atishi’s earlier allotment document stipulates that she must leave her residence on Mathura Road within 15 days after obtaining the Flagstaff Road property. When she was appointed a minister in the Delhi government last year, the house on Mathura Road was given to her.
The PWD letter contains stringent guidelines, announcing that any unapproved construction or damage exceeding normal wear and tear may result in the allocation being canceled.
Additionally, it mentioned that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other organizations are still looking into possible infractions that occurred during the bungalow’s repair. It has been recommended that Atishi fully cooperate with the continuing investigations.
